Hey, I noticed you reblogged one of my posters... I've got 2 more posters with lyrics from Tallahassee you might wanna check out, just throw "vintagegoats" into search on my tumblr... hope you like em, and long live Tallahassee!
I saw those earlier this year. Really like them, eager to see more!
Old College Try
This is the last one, I swear. At the risk of creating the Godfather Part III of Mountain Goats posters, I’ve mixed a 1956 cigarette advertisement with the lyrics to Old College Try by John Darnielle of The Mountain Goats. Here’s the original ad from Vintage America’s Flickr, here’s the awesome poster by Todd Atticus I got the idea from, and here are the No Children and See America Right posters.
Here’s the 18” x 24” poster torrent file (25.6 MB)

I only hope it was because they recognised the awesome pun/MSPA reference in my name.
For y’all that don’t know, Tallahassee Turns Ten is a cover album of the Mountain Goats’ “Tallahassee”, to celebrate the tenth anniversary of its release. A different artist does each track, and it’s totally badass. Check it out, yo.
The pun was what sealed the deal.

Thank you SO much for following me! Otherwise I would never have known about this project despite I believe seeing John make vague reference to it on Twitter and always forgetting to look it up. This is AMAZING. Such great artists, perfect even, to have been involved in this.
Saw your post on labels and one sheets and agreed pretty heartily. How could I not follow?
Thanks for digging it!
Hi! Awesome concept! One question: What exactly is Crooked Neighbor?
In a nutshell, Crooked Neighbor is a production company that commissions musicians to record songs to benefit non-profits and charities.
Oh yeah, and if you ask nicely, Crooked Neighbor also does web design projects.
John Green has some insightful things to say about doing things you love, even if you do them badly.
Also, he sings a snippet of “Love, love, love” at the end.
Is anyone going to be lucky enough see the Mountain Goats perform at Carnegie Hall with John and Hank Green?
